There is pure delight to be found in colour and Carol’s latest artwork considers the play between colour tones and its interaction. The work is multisurfaced and allow peeks of unexpected layers of colour that diverge and distract the viewer away from complacency.
While colour is the ultimate attraction, the surface is worked into texture to further stimulate. We are reminded that paint – and colour itself – can be as tactile as it is visible
In contrast her series of Blue works was inspired by the colour that dominates our world but can be rarely touched.
